Continental chose OASE for fast Microsoft 365 adoption

German tire manufacturer Continental decided to migrate to Microsoft 365. Because they wanted to break free from the shackles of traditional training, they looked for an innovating way to introduce the Microsoft tool in the workplace. “We didn’t just want to let our staff attend dry, technical trainings. Our change project needed to be interactive and allow all employees to learn at their own pace. We called it MO 365, Your New York Style”, says Wend De Pelsmaeker, HR Manager at Continental Benelux, “and the online knowledge platform OASE played an important role in this.”

127 learning paths followed

Migrating to Microsoft 365 doesn’t happen overnight, and Continental Benelux is fully aware of this.  “Microsoft 365 is crucial to our staff’s work environment. If our colleagues don’t learn how to properly use basic tools such as OneNote, Outlook and OneDrive, they’ll become less productive”, Wend De Pelsmaeker says. IT company Xylos came up with a change project for Continental that included interactive workshops, helpful Digital Coaches and its online knowledge platform OASE.

“We were already subscribed to OASE because we’d used the platform before, back when we migrated to Windows 10. When we noticed that only a handful of colleagues had registered for traditional class courses, we realised that this way of learning just didn’t fit their needs. OASE’s microlearning formula offered them an ideal learning alternative then, and the platform proves to have the same effect in our current MO project: OASE’s instructional videos have been watched over 300 times already and our employees have followed over 127 learning paths so far”, Wend De Pelsmaeker continues.

OASE as KPI

“OASE’s advantage is the fact that employees can use the short instructional videos to learn new skills anywhere and anytime. On top of this, Xylos and the OASE team follow up on the project closely, which helps our collaboration run smoothly.” According to Wend, the biggest challenge is making everyone aware of the platform. “To raise awareness within the company, we implemented an OASE KPI to encourage our sales colleagues to use the platform, and we published an employee testimonial to get our other employees on board”, Wend concludes.
